AWARD PRESENTATIONS @ 3:30 pm Spirit of Venice Award
Celebrate the announcement of this year's Spirit of Venice Award recipient. Since 1984, the Abbot Kinney Festival Association has recognized exemplary individuals nominated by the community for their contributions to the heart and soul of Venice. Past recipients include artists, poets, musicians, and civic leaders such as Lynn Warshafsky and Jim Hubbard of Venice Arts; artist Tibor Jankay, poet Fred Dewey of Beyond Baroque, and community advocates Betsy Goldman, Ivan Spiegel, and Diane Bush.

AKFA Community Grants
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the AKFA launched its Community Grants Program, which is funded by festival proceeds from the sales of sponsorships, exhibitor booths, event-run concessions, commemorative merchandise, and advertising. While new in this formal format, the AKFA has invested well over $200,000 into the community of Venice since 1984. During this year's festival, a total of up to $25,000 will be awarded among the following Venice nonprofits:
